Position:

Careage Construction Inc.  is seeking an experienced construction accountant.  This position will oversee the accounting function for Careage Construction.  This position will also need to coordinate with cross company accountants on intercompany transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly closing of books, including preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet, income statement, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain WIP schedules for all active construction jobs
• Enter payroll for the construction team, including processing through Paylocity, posting entries into Sage and accounting for medical insurance (self-insured) and 401K entries
• Work with outside accountants for yearly tax return preparation and annual return
• Assist PM and Accounting Department with monthly billings
• Compile & Reconcile in-progress accounts for all ongoing projects at conclusion of month
• Reconcile Subcontract Accounts
• Review and audits contracts, subcontract agreements, design agreements, and pay applications
• Other Duties as assigned
• Reports Directly to President of Construction and CFO

Requirements:

• 7+ years in commercial, healthcare, and/or multi-family projects
• B.A / B.S. In Accounting or Business Administration
• Sage / Timberline Experience Required
• Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
• Ability to work in a team environment
